Photographs, since middle school.

I have always had a passion for photography, dating back to middle school when my parents bought me a Nikon Coolpix. From there I was hooked. I've gone through phases of other hobbies, but always came back to photography. Most recently I've been focusing on automotive, landscape and infrared photography, as well as exploring the analog side of things.

While I really enjoy capturing classic landscapes with my digital camera, using my full-spectrum infrared camera and various film cameras has allowed me to explore a different side of the world. With infrared, recreating the Kodak Aerochrome effect has brought a lot of fun to a style that can feel stale. On the analog side, being involved in the entire process — from loading film all the way to developing, scanning, and printing — has brought a real appreciation for what photography actually is.

As I continue to display my work, I hope to show people that you don't need to be a professional to capture the beauty of the world around you. There is more to photography than being Instagram famous, and these days it can be difficult to remember why you picked up a camera in the first place.
